DUA [053] Condolence
إِنَّ للهِ ما أَخَذ، وَلَهُ ما أَعْـطـى، وَكُـلُّ شَيءٍ عِنْـدَهُ بِأَجَلٍ مُسَـمَّى.فَلْتَصْـبِر وَلْتَحْـتَسِب
Translation: Surely , Allah takes what is His , and what He gives is His , and to all things He has appointed a time ... so have patience and be rewarded.[1]
Transliteration: 'Inna lillaahi maa 'akhatha, wa lahu maa 'a'taa, wa kullu shay'in 'indahu bi'ajalin musamman . . .
أَعْظَـمَ اللهُ أَجْـرَكَ، وَأَحْسَـنَ عَـزاءَ كَ، وَغَفَـرَ لِمَـيِّتِكَ
...and one can also say:
Translation: May Allah magnify your reward, and make perfect your bereavement, and forgive your departed[2]
Transliteration: 'A'dhamallaahu 'ajraka, wa 'ahsana 'azaa'aka wa ghafara limayyitika.

DUA [010.1] When leaving the home بِسْمِ اللهِ ، تَوَكَّلْـتُ عَلى اللهِ وَلا حَوْلَ وَلا قُـوَّةَ إِلاّ بِالله Translation: In the Name of Allah, I have placed my trust in Allah, there is no might and no power except by Allah. Transliteration: Bismillaahi, tawakkaltu 'alallaahi, wa laa hawla wa laa quwwata ‘ illaa billaah.
